About Dr. Carly McIlvaine-York

Dr. Carly York is a professional Catholic cantor in the Diocese of Trenton, a music educator, and arts manager. She has been featured on SiriusXM’s Sounds from the Spires with Dr. Jennifer Pasqual, and has performed with the National Chorale at Lincoln Center. Through her recordings and her faith-based online communities at RenewAndTransform.com and TheCatholicCantor.com, she brings sacred music and prayerful biblical reflections to those seeking peace and deeper spirituality in today’s busy world.

Carly earned her Masters of Arts Degree in Liturgical Music from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, with a focus on Choral Conducting. She went on to earn a second Masters in Music Degree in Voice Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a lifelong learner and educator, Carly continued on to earn her Doctorate of Education Degree from Seton Hall University. Currently, she is on staff as the Principal Cantor at the Parish of St. Mary in Colts Neck, NJ. Dr. York is also the Manager of Education & Operations for the American Classical Orchestra in New York City.
